Big Dawg is the only professional bare-knuckle boxing promotion on the West Coast, and we run everything out of one building: 7274 N Blackstone Ave, Fresno, CA 93650. We do not operate a gym or venue in Merced, fighters, fans and partners from Merced work with us at our Fresno headquarters by appointment.

UC Merced changed the city's fight audience. Merced sends us a younger ticket buyer than anywhere else, and they buy in groups, late, and for main events specifically.

On the athlete side, Merced and Atwater gyms have added coaching depth in recent years. Fighters coming out of them arrive with better footwork than the Valley average, which shortens the technical part of camp.

Merced is an hour north of Fresno, our only location, so Merced athletes use the same compressed two-day camp structure we use for Kern County fighters, with film review handled remotely between sessions.
