Recap: Valley Violence 7 Delivered Exactly What It Promised
Two stoppages, one card that could have gone either way, and a debut that changed the shape of the division.
By Big Dawg Staff

Seven cards in and we have a feel for how a Valley Violence night goes. This one still surprised us.
Main event
The main event went the full five and probably should have started a rematch conversation before the scorecards were read. Rounds one and two belonged to the taller fighter working behind a jab and refusing to plant. Rounds three and four flipped once the body work started landing. The fifth was the round of the night.
Co-main
The co-main ended in the second. A short right hand behind a feint, the kind of punch that only works when the other fighter has already been convinced something else is coming. Clean, over quickly, no argument from anybody.
The debut
A twenty-four year old out of a Sanger gym made his first walk and looked like he had done it twenty times. Composed, patient, and smart enough not to chase the finish when he had his man hurt in the third. We will see him again in the fall.
What the crowd told us
Floor seats sold out eleven days before the card. That has not happened before. The room was loud from the first undercard bout, which changes how fighters perform whether they admit it or not.
What we are fixing
Walkouts ran long. Two of them ran very long. We have already shortened the production window for the next card, because nobody buys a ticket to watch a light show.
